This is defintely helpful, thanks – and I have an idea what may be (at least a part of) the problem. Will have a closer look when I get home. Meanwhile, can you try the other buttons? (Strangely, my topmost buttons register as 1-4, and it’s my dim/bright that comes in as 0)

Just got back, and looking at this on a real screen… Yeah, your actual buttons are numbered 1-4 (the top one is 1, not 0). You can ignore those “Falling through to default case button for buttonEvent()” messages from the mapper (on “button null”, you’ll notice at the very end of those log outputs)…

Got that output with any button push. It’s like the info is lost.
