Hi:
It’s been a while since I dug into smartthings, but I’m not trying to troubleshoot a device turning one without any obvious reason, and the logging in the app and “SmartThings Advanced Web App” aren’t helping.
is there a new equivalent to the old graphapi I used to use? I know there was at one point.
If so, is there a good place to look for what triggered a device to turn on? All I know is the time and the device, but not the source of the command. I use home assistant, Alexa, etc. but have not been able to track it down.
I’d check the driver logs with the SmartThings CLI.
Hi, @twowheels
In the Advanced Users app, you can see which routines control your device.
Also, in the ST app’s Location history, you can see if any of those routines were executed.
If there isn’t any that could be doing this, you can use the driver logs as @Andreas_Roedl mentioned above.
Just remember, your computer must be on the same network as your Hub to be able to connect.
Please report back your findings. We have seen before that devices can have a local automation configured, I mean on the physical device instead of using the platform.
As you mentioned Alexa I feel obliged to ask if you have checked for Alexa hunches being enabled and having created automations on the quiet. It’s not that it is always Alexa, as it isn’t by any means, it is that it has been Alexa a number of times in the past and we can’t let her lull us to sleep.
Without Alexa hunches enabled, I have also expienced select lights being turned off witrh no user or routine input. Disabling those lights in Alexa solved my issue.
