Way to add shortcut to automations in new app? (V3 app)

Hi, still trying to see if I can move to the new app but one thing I need is the ability to put shortcuts for automations on the home screen.

Does anyone know if this is possible? or if not if its on Samsungs list to add as a feature?

Because the V3 app does not have routines, it also doesn’t have official widgets.

What phone do you have? There might be a way to do it on an android phone with Tasker.

Thanks for the reply … I have an iPhone so looks like not so easy.

Do you mean using Siri shortcuts? There are three different ways to do that if you have an iPhone:

OK, it turns out there are two different ways to do this but it’s a little awkward and the set up is time consuming. So it can be done, but I don’t know if it will be worth the effort to do it. use the IFTTT service’s maker channel to receive a Web hook as the “if” in an IFTTT applet and then make smartthings the “that.” @rscott09 had shared a how to article on this about six weeks ago, but to be honest, I had forgotten about it. My bad. use the free yonomi app to trigger Logitech Harmony Activities If you have a Logitech Harmony hub integrated with SmartThings, you can get the free yonomi app and then they have a pretty nice UI feature to set up a Siri shortcut to fire a Harmony activity. Then you can use the iOS Shortcuts app to create a widget.

So we lost the official widgets with the V3 app, but fortunately iOS 12 delivered the new Siri shortcuts widget option, so people with iPhones can use that.

I should also say that although you can create widget from Siri shortcuts, the V3 app does not give you any way to automate arming/disarming the system except by opening the app and doing it there. So I’m not sure the shortcuts will work for that.
