Virtual device with many states?

I have TAustin’s excellent virtual device creator that I’ve used for a few virtual switches, but those only have two states: on or off.
Is there a virtual device where I can set a higher number of states and preferably name them?

I’d like to trigger routines based on the states.

What I’m trying to do is create a virtual washer/dryer to match my real washer/dryer appliance for which I monitor the power. The states would be: washing, drying, washing&drying, finished, off.

I’m using this, combined with an energy reading smart plug, and an additional virtual switch to set off Alexa routine (announcing when clothes are done), works great.

Kinda wish there was a more all in one way (well two, plug power states are needed) that also allowed to change the icon displayed, but it works.

Just started replacing variables I had set up with Sharptools with it, with the idea being eventually, maybe, as AI continues to be a thing, MAYBE just MAYBE having all the info in Smartthings would make it easier for an AI Assistant to understand my smart home.

Mariano_Colmenarejo has a virtual device creator that allows creation of a switch panel containing upto 5 switches which can be configured as exclusive (i.e. one switch on at a time) or multiple (so potentially all on at once). He also has text based devices where you can set and interrogate text values… The switch panel should achieve what you need?
