Using Toshiba Air Conditioners with SmartThings?

There’s often something you can do by using a third-party as an intermediary, but it rarely gives you full feature control, and it sometimes requires quite a bit of technical expertise. So I don’t know if you’re interested in anything like that.

For example, if your device works with Amazon Alexa, you might be able to use that as an intermediary.

If it works with Home Assistant, that typically offers more feature control than the Alexa option, but it’s a lot more work to set up. And requires additional devices.

Eventually Matter (A new communication protocol in the industry) is intended to solve many of these issues, but it’s just beginning to roll out and doesn’t cover air conditioners yet.
