I have the drivers for HomeSeer and am able to add the switches. I can’t add the motion sensor, is this not possible?
still no luck. Any ideas?
Hi,
It seems the HS-MS100+ is not supported by the Homeseer Edge drivers channel.
** EDIT: What I wrote is actually incorrect. The firgerprint included in the official channel is for a different sensor that is quite different looking.
Normally, from what I found on https://github.com/SmartThingsCommunity/SmartThingsEdgeDrivers, it should be supported by the official Smartthings Edge channel. There is actually a finger print for this device:
- id: "homeseer/multi/hsm100"
deviceLabel: Homeseer Multi Sensor HSM100
manufacturerId: 0x001E
productType: 0x0002
productId: 0x0001
deviceProfileName: motion-battery-illuminance-temperature
When I try adding my device it only gets recognized as a non-Edge Z-Wave Sensor which I can see in the device list in the IDE but it does not function properly.
Looking at the fingerprint I get this:
zw:L type:2001 mfr:000C prod:0201 model:0009 ver:1.04 zwv:4.61 lib:03
I’m wondering if I might have a different version of the sensor, newer or older than the one currently in the fingerprint file. There is actually a G2 version but I have no idea which one I have. If it’s the case, would it be possible to add my fingerprint to the official channel? Or is there another way for me to test that?
I used to have this device supported by a custom DTH from @krlaframboise which is now obsolete and it was working as expected. I order to migrate it to Edge I removed it from the IDE and now I can’t seem to be able to add it anymore. No matter what, I want it running with Edge driver.
Thanks
I am having the same issue with my HS-MS100+ sensors. These devices do not seem to find a driver from the official Homeseer Edge driver channel. They are not specifically listed in the channel as a compatible device, so it makes sense. I thought these sensors were way more popular than the Homeseer HSM200 sensors that are listed in the compatibility list. Wondering why this one was not included but the HSM200 was.
For what it’s worth, I also have many Zooz ZSE18 sensors (look identical to the HS-MS100+) and those work great with the official Zooz Edge drivers. Unfortunately, despite the HS-MS100+ and ZSE18’s identical appearance, the HS-MS100+ is not recognized by the Zooz Edge driver. Was hoping they were identical on the inside as well, but does not appear that is the case.
The zoos is exactly what I did. I gave up!
