So I am just getting started with home automation and apologize in advance if this has already been answered somewhere. I am looking at different water sensors and may end of with different brands for different applications, I may even have both Z wave and ZigBee sensors. Not knowing the capabilities yet of the SmartThings hub/app will there be an issue with controlling say a Z Wave water shut off valve with different type of water sensors? In other words can I use both types sensors for a single shut off valve?
you can use both zigbee and z-wave leak sensors. the hub communicates with both
