Use phone keyboard on SmartThings to control Samsung smart TV?

Update from May 2023. I recently bought a samsung smart tv. Still seems like smartthing app does not have the feature where i can input text to art tv through the app. I am considering to return the tv.

Feature is still not here, even if competitors like Hisense have native support for this obvious function.

December 2023, no keyboard with iPhone app but I did get the keyboard to show up when I installed it on my iPad and was using the Internet app. That’s all I needed it for. Haven’t tried anything else yet. Had numbers and also switched to letters. Wowie! Astonishing

Hello Samsung,

it’s August 2024, everyone is complaining about the lack of a really simple keyboard on the app, why don’t you do anything, it’s just weird and strange.

It’s August 2024 and Samsung “SmartThings” still doesn’t have a keyboard function. Just change the name to anything other than “smart”.

I bought a 2024 TV and it gives me 2012 problems.
My older 2019 Roku TV had a simple and better remote app with a KEYBOARD.

Never buying again.
