Updated to Android 10, now my Kwikset 910 smart lock doesn't work

I have the Kwikset 910. I was adding and removing codes on the new SmartThings app (not the classic) for weeks without difficulty.

My Pixel 2XL phone updated to Android 10. Now I can’t manage lock codes using either the classic or new SmartThings app.

Is there a workaround or fix for this? It’s really causing me headaches!

New Smartthings app and Android 10

Got version 1.7.38-21 yesterday and everything appears to be working again. Home screen widgets showed up as of v1.7.37-25 and now clicking on them no longer crashes the app. A couple of other variables that changed for me: I updated the Sonos integration via graph.api.smartthings.com I switched Pixel 2XLs and upon logging in after the 1.7.38-21 update, the app asked for a new (cryptically named) Android permission related to Bluetooth & Wifi. (I had logged into v1.7.37-25 on this new phone and did not receive that permission request.) I cannot seem to find this new perm in the Android 10 permission manager, however.

I already have SmartThings app 1.7.38-21

Unfortunately, when I add the “Smart Lock Guest Access” automation it doesn’t do anything. It walks me through granting permissions, and when that is complete, I proceed to the home screen where “Smart Lock Guest Access” appears.

From the home screen, if I click on “Smart Lock Guest Access” it says “Couldn’t download Smart Lock Guest Access. Try again.”

I am definitely connected to the internet, etc.

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the app. Maybe try the Classic app. If all else fails check out the LUM SmartApp to manage user codes:

I tried the classic app and couldn’t get it to work there either unfortunately.

What is the “LUM SmartApp” and how do I get access to it? Being a smart home newbie I went to the Google Play store, but I’m guessing that’s not the correct place. Can you point me in the right direction on that?

Let me also say that I’m using (4) SmartApps and (6) device handlers (DTH) and they all work very well. I can recommend that the cost for access to all the apps and DTH’s is well worth it.
