Recently noticed that the model number of the Leviton Decora Z-Wave switches were updated to DZMX1-1BZ from DZMX1-1LZ. But I can’t seem to find any information on what the differences, if any, there are from the previous model. Any others have clues?
The device is exactly the same. Leviton uses different packaging for different distribution channels. – LZ is for “distributors” and – BZ is for retailers. (If you order from Leviton’s own site, they’ll only list the – LZ models.) I confirmed this with Leviton today.
It looks like they’ve released new retailer boxes for this device which have the Wink, SmartThings, Vera and Echo logos So that’s why you’re seeing the new model number. 
Ah! Thanks for the clarification. Got tripped up by the Amazon product page stating that a new model was available.
