So ultraloq uses third party access to their accounts through smart things to access the locks. With this you cannot update guest codes in the smart lock guest access app. However I can add the new matter lock directly to SmartThings without having it registered on the ultraloq application. Even though it’s connected through matter directly to smartthings hub, the smart Lock guest access does not update the codes. I would expect that from the account linkage of their regular locks because it goes through a third party connection, but being matter it’s directly linked to smart things without going through ultralock. Ideas, Solutions? Try their Z-Wave model?
It has its own user management, but blah. When someone opens the lock it doesnt tell you who. Guest lock management doesnt update or management codes.
Keep it and hope they will support Aliro in the future.
Interesting concept, thanks! After reading that link, I conducted a compliantproduct search on the site, exploring other options, and lo and behold… It’s on the list as a compliant lock! I’m not sure what it means, but hope it works like the Z-Wave Schlage locks i am replacing. They were so easy to work with in SmartThings with all of their options. Unfortunate their price has made them hard to get for us with all of our locks that need replacing.
