Hello,
Has anyone experienced pairing a TKB Home TZ66D in Wall Switch and Dimmer with a SmartThings Hub? I have been trying to do that for a while. I also read somewhere that it is not compatible. However, this is a Z-Wave certified device and so is ST Hub and I assume they should talk to each other.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
Abdul
The issue you’re going to have it it’s dual relay, which ST doesn’t natively support. But the community has made multi relay devices work if you are up for a little custom device type.
Hi all!
I am aware that oficially the TKB TZ66D isn’t supported.
But in any event, I want to give it a try from my amateur developer side to see where I can get…
Where would I start? I was told by TKB the following:
For the TZ66D wall switch, the right paddle is not seen in the system. Because there is sigle relay in TZ66D.
The right paddle only act as a controller. You can control other z-wave devices by association via right paddle.
Any ideas on how to see thru a console or something what’s going on behind the scenes?
as I said, I’m not even a programmer… I have done a few things here and there but nothing too serious… but I’m not afraid of trying…
Thanks!

Thank you for your post Matt,
I happened to have read this. At this point I was looking for an answer or a step-by-step guide to be able to pair the TZ66D with SmartThings.
Interestingly in the same thread that you refer, Daniel wrote
Sure thing, it does pair, but only the left paddle (local) works, the right paddle, which would be the one that would start/stop scenes or other actions is the one that’s missing…
So I was wondering if there was a way to pair.
Thanks,
Abdul
I don’t have the TZ66D so I can’t say for sure. I’d recommend posting in the other thread trying to get the assistance of someone who’s done it.
