TUYA Wifi Light Integration?

That’s not entirely accurate. You can use Home Assistant which has tuya integration and then use fison67/HA-Connector from github and sync his smartthings app (inside the native smartthings app) via the connector and then tuya devices appear in the smartthings app and can be controlled that way including from your samsung smart TV by with scenes. It works great for me.

So about couple days ago, around American Thanksgiving, now you can add globe suite (using Tuya cloud service) into SmartThings, and the trick is you can add other branded Tuya products into globe suit app.

Looks like @tuyasmart integration to @Smartthings thru @GlobeElectric1 is official now. And I can even add other branded #tuyasmart devices. #smartthings @SmartThingsBeat pic.twitter.com/P9Us4ImUDX

True, but as I found, not all devices. I spent over an hour tonight trying to pair a cheap light strip (Tomshine was brand) with no luck in the Globe app. Went through all the different pairing options and nothing ever worked. I decided to use the Smart Life app (also Tuya family) and it paired right up.

Not sure what designates these devices to be cross compatible and some not, so buyer beware.

I don’t know , maybe at this moment, some device might not working. I even heard someone can add the device to smarthings, even without add to globesuite app. Just have both globe app account and tuya/smartlife app account use same phone number/ email. For me, I got rid of all my Tuya lights (geeni/merkury brand)after they stop showing on IFTTT. But still kept my power serge bars. And they works on Globe app. So you might just need to wait till your light strips to work.

I am trying to get smartthings to see my Globe suite, when I connect and login with tuya, I can only see 1 of my 9 devices :frowning: but in my globe suite app, I see them all and even some of my CE ones… Any ideas?

I have an open ticket in with globe Suite for this. They gave me a support person’s number who I will talk to this evening. I’ll update this once I learn something.

That is awesome! Thanks!

I stripped out all my Tuyas, and added one in. It did not show up in the ST integration. I left it to sit for about 2 hrs. Magic. There it is. Will try with the rest tomorrow.

Installed Globe Suite and added a device ok.
In SMartthings I try and add device, select globe suite, and just get the looking circling forever. Does not seem to want to link to globe suite and does not find a device (same type as globe accepted).
Is it supposed to ask to link to the Globe account or just recognise a (tuya compatible) device? Am baffled.

I readded all my gosund (Tuya) devices to the Globe Suite app. They did not show up immeditaely in Smartthings (new app) Global Suite Integraiton. I went Christmas shopping and came back to it about 4 hrs later, and bingo, there they were. I am guessing it takes time for the integraiton to recognize they were added. Same thing happens if I rename a device in Global Suite. A few hours later, it is updated in Smartthings. Bizare behavior, but now that I know that the secret is time, I can live with it.

Well after trying all yesterday, then sending the above query, I tried again AND it linked immediately !!!
Did someone send positive thoughts?

I have added removed, all of that. Literally done everything. They still don’t show up :frowning:

So, after a bunch of e-mails with Globe Suite support. They have explained that the integration with SmartThings is not complete, and will take a while. So, I guess that I have to just keep waiting… :frowning:

Go into setting of SmartThings app (new version),-> connected services-> globe suite, so it would manually pull all supported devices , but again , I believe some devices might not be supported yet.

Have tried all of that. removed all devices, even tried adding them directly to Smartthings, and still no Joy. It’s kind of odd that it actually see’s 1 of them… but only 1. I received my Hub late yesterday, so maybe this evening when I finally install it, things will work better

I also put together detailed steps if someone is interested in how to add Tuya devices to ST. I also ran into the problem that the device doesn’t show up in ST the first time I added. I think the issue might be I had both TuyaSmart and Globe Suite apps installed on my phone, and I added the device to TuyaSmart, then Globe Suite. Once deleted the Globe Suite connection in ST, and re-added it the 2nd time, it prompted me to choose which one to connect to, and got the connection working from there.

(You can skip the last step if you don’t need SharpTools.)

Well, Even with the Hub, I cannot see more than 1 of my devices, which is odd because they are all the same, purchased at the same time, and 3 in a box…

The search continues…

The Tuya Smartthings integration is total cloud to cloud based, so hub is not needed in this case, and won’t really change if the devices you have are not supported.
Just for curiosity , what is the device you CAN see, and what are the ones you CAN"T see on ST app.

They are all of the exact same devices. All.fromnyh same SKU. Lol they are plugs. It see’s 1 of 9

I successfully changed all my devices from Smart Life to Globe Suite and they all work seamlessly with ST now.
