Turn ecobee4 fan on/off on a timed schedule

The only thing I can’t currently control with my ecobee4 thermostat is a schedule-based fan option. Our fan helps me fall asleep, but then can sometimes wake me up later in the night. Weird, I know. Anyway, I want to turn the fan ON at 10pm and turn it off at 1am. Since the built-in device in SmartThings allows me to manually toggle between fan “auto” and “off” (which would be fine because I’d just set the fan time on auto to “0”), I’m disappointed I can’t schedule it.

I know there are a number of ecobee DTHs out there that do a bunch of awesome things. I only need this additional functionality, so which one is going to be the easiest for me to deploy?

There is a free version that can found in the following thread. tagging @storageanarchy

Hi @SteveJenkins, you can do this easily with the standard comfort settings within the ecobee app or the ecobee portal.

Unless I’m missing something, you just need to create your own comfort settings and set your fan mode to on from 10pm till 1am.

Why do you need to use Smarthings for this simple use case?

Hey Yves. I didn’t even consider that solution. I added a new “Awake” time period with the fan ON. Works great. Thank you.

That automation will always work even when your internet is down…

Local processing is the best.
