The perfect control panel

Someone made this and integrated it in HA:

That was exactly the point! I have 2 Sonoff SPM 4 relay modules running everything in my shed. The issue was that without my phone I had to open the electrical box every time I wanted to turn on the watering pump or start the fan in the shed. So I built this.

It used to be an ESP8266 running Esphome but I upgraded it to an ESP32 module with Ethernet. I wanted to try the module as I plan on using it to build a PoE weather station with it.

To actually get the number of I/O ports I needed I used 4 PCF8574 modules. These are 8-pin I/O multiplexers that communicate via I2C.

I don’t know why, but I want this - labels and all - instead of a wall mounted tablet.

I have a friend who is quadriplegic and has something like this, but with big toggle switches so his service dog can do it.

Dogs can learn to recognize numbers or individual words, so he has his labeled with numbers and then tells the dog to go turn on 5 or 3 or whatever.

this is just an example of a dog flipping a switch

It’s gigantic, but very cool. :sunglasses:
