The new virtual thermostat app for window units etc

Would it be possible to modify it to be able to set it to have on temperature and a off temperature to keep my unit running longer and not coming on off on off.
Any thoughts

If you’re controlling your window unit with a On/off switch then set your window unit to the lowest temperature setting and use the on/off switch as you cooling device in the above SmartApp coupled with a remote temperature sensor

I didn’t explain very well my fault. I love the new virtual thermostat app. I just would like to have a threshold. Say for example cooling on at 85 off at 75.
