Can someone help me please? There’s lots of threads about using this for vibration but mines not working so my question is if I want to use it for vibration only (washing machine) do I place both parts of the sensor on the side like I would with a door (so it’s in a closed state) or do I just use the main unit so it remains in an open state?
You do not need to use the small magnet part. It’ll just report open all the time. I have a few of these around my house used as only temperature sensors.
I’m not using those as open/close sensors.
