ST hub DNS bursts

Hi!

Last night my internet connection went offline. From that moment on my ST hub (v1) tried to resolv pool.ntp.org constantly. I usually have around 2 DNS requests per second in my network. Now it went up to 400 requests per second. I checked with tcpdump and the majority of the questions has been the pool.ntp.org question from ST.
It seems the hub ended up in an endless loop. That is really stupid and a good way to DDos yourself.

Any ideas what might cause such behaviour?

Did you ever find a solution? I’ve found that my V1 Smartthings hub is querying [pool.ntp.org] a ton as well.

My hub went back to normal when the internet connection returned. It doesn’t always happen when my connection goes offline. This is an error in the hubs programming logic. It can only be fixed with a firmware update. So a fix is very unlikely.
