[ST Edge] •• Tasmota Edge •• for Sonoff, Tuya & many other ESP WiFi & HTTP devices - over 2000 Tasmota supported devices

Hi,

The exact same thhing is happening to me. I already tried in another android phone with no success.

I noticed all devices previously configured are not available to use through Smartthings and Alexa integratio as routine conditions for automation.

I don’t know if this second issue has any relationq with the first but I’m trying to have a workaround for both situations.

I’d appreciate any hint or help.

Unfortunately the problem remains… The solution I came up with was to use the hue bridge emulation option on the tasmota device to appear in alexa and use the taustin http device v1 drive to control the device on Smartthings…

Could you check what is the version of ST Android app do you have? Could you try on iOS?

Hi @nayelyz @AlejandroPadilla @Ivan_Luis_Falleau

It appears there is a bug in ST Android app that prevents custom presentation/view to display correctly. It works fine on iOS. Would you be able to assist with this?

It’s the latest version… I don’t have iOS, but a member of the group who has Android and iOS reported that on iOS it’s working normally and on Android this problem is happening…

I’m also in the newest version of the ST android app: v1.8.09.23… and can’t try iOS!!!

Hello everyone. @hongtat, could you please send us the presentationId for investigation purposes? We have an idea about what may be, but we need to check.

I have the same version, v1.8.09.23. I will try to test in an old IOS device I have and will report here if I succed.

Thanks, Hongtat for you work and support!

Thanks.

I wasnt able to test on IOS. I Tried with my old Ipad, but its not usable anymore.

I noticed other integrations not working as I`m not able to use U-Tec integration for my door lock. After last Smarthings version upgrade, it appears something related with third party components integration is not working well.

If I can give any other information to help Smartthings staff to work on this issue, please just ask.

Hello everyone. I am having the same issue with Tasmota Edge. My ST app is running on Android v. 1.8.09.23

It works on iOS though.

Correct, I also can confirm that.

@Ivan_Luis_Falleau
Any news on that bug , I’m also have that bug and just pay to add more device , just waiting for a fix , I have try to downgrade but app won’t install !
Thank you

Hello @hongtat. Thank you for all the great efforts you are doing here. I have built a similar device to your post on line 526. ESP8266 w/ HC-SR04 ultrasonic senor. I will use it for a tank level application.

Now for starters on the UI it seems to work perfectly fine. It measures the distance and all is looking good. Now on the ST application, I cannot seem to be able to add the SR04 device for one reason or another.
Basically what I have done is that I added “any device” except for sensors and gave that device the same IP address as the ESP8266. Nothing happened though.

I seem to be missing something when adding this device to ST.

I would really appreciate your guidance on this. Attached some pictures for reference.

Thank you.

Yes. That’s correct. Could you check whether you have enabled “Sensor discovery” under Tasmosta Edge device settings? Once enabled, it should add the SR04 sensor within a few minutes.

If it doesn’t, can I have the output of http://<IP>/cm?cmnd=status 0

Hi @hongtat. To be honest with you I missed the “Sensor Discovery” option. Now it is working fine and displays the distance.

I have a special request of some sort since this device will be used as a tank level device. Basically the ask is to display a percentage of how full the tank is. In out region there are many tanks at the house. A couple of water tanks and a diesel tank. In many case there are more than 4 or 5 tanks at the house. Some are under ground to store large amounts of water and others for fuel storage.

Is it possible to have a “settings” field for this sensor with 2 variables: 1- sensor distance from liquid surface 2- max height of liquid. This way the % of the tank level can easily be calculated.

I would really appreciate it if that is possible to do.

Thanks. Take care.

Hello @Sylvain and everyone. Currently, the engineering team is still doing some review regarding this case. As soon as we have information, we’ll let you know.

I can also confirm everything is working in IOS. I used a friend’s Iphone to manage my home location and created the devices I needed.

I hope Smarthings can resolve this issue soon.

@Ivan_Luis_Falleau Any prediction on when they will resolve the issue? This bug disrupted dozens of automations in my home.

@Ivan_Luis_Falleau just download the new version but the problem is still there .
Rollback 2 version and it’s working for me , I will wait to update my SmartThings app now …

I install and work, now dont work…

i reinstall, and dont show the option to add devices…
