Good news, and at the same time i feel a little silly for all this time i had problems with Zigbee Human Presence Sensors for my Home Office:
In few words, i was in a lot of troubles trying to use a TZE200_2aaelwxk zigbee sensor… With w35l3y Tuya Presence Sensor - using similar devices and playing with the datapoints (and even with @iquix driver) i was getting only lux readings and the presence sensor was stuck in “present” or “movement”.
Then, i changed to a new sensor, a TZE204_e5m9c5hl, with the same results as before. But, strangely, this sensor is a clone of the TZE204_sxm7l9xa, and i have this third sensor in my kitchen (bellow the microwave oven), and he works just fine…
As a final solution i got a 2nd hand Tuya Zigbee Gateway, conneted both sensors to the tuya gateway and the results were the same - i get lux reading and the sensor was stuck in presence mode (even if i play with the radar preferences)… Until i moved the sensors to another place!
I belive that something was interfering with the sensor in the 5.8Ghz frequency… I just moved 20 cm below from the first place (away from a QNAP NAS and a hardwired ethernet gateway) and the sensor started to respond just fine! And because in my kitchen i have a 5.8Ghz sensor just below a microwave oven i thought that the system was least susceptible to interferences… but not!
So i share my experience as a “heads up” in a similar problem: don’t forget to try the sensor in differente places, just in case, before blaming the driver or the sensor!
