I am new to this topic. I have a Smartthings Hub. Using @ogiewon ST_Anything
Device handlers are installed.
My wemos d1 is installed with the garage sketch. I have a contact sensor on the data pin. Looking at the serial monitor I can see it saying open/closed. The classic app sees the device and says its open. There are events in the list. However the state never changes.
Close the ST Classic App and restart it. Sometime this helps to get the Classic App to see events from devices.
Sometimes you can also just pull/drag down from the top of the screen, to force it to refresh.

I can see the arduino sending the info. Is this an issue with the v3 hub?
Look in live logging (ST Web IDE) while changing the status of the contact sensor. You might also want to try pulling the plug on your ST hub, the. Plug it back in to see if that helps.
Also, where is your ST_Anything Parent Device? All I see of the Contact Sensor device in the screenshot you posted of your classic app.
Thanks you are a legend. I had created the child device first. Removed it and setup the parent. It automatically found the child. Its all working fine. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
