What are people’s thoughts around needing the handler for this? Knowing that the ability to have a custom handler is in jeopardy, I have stayed away from zooz since it notes for most of their devices it is needed, but I’m wondering if that’s really just for advanced functionality. I’m just worried about putting things like this in and them stopping working entirely a year from now.
I have a good amount (50+) of Zooz devices, all of which are running on their provided handlers for some years now. Zero issues with the firmware side of things, had 1x bad switch they ended up replacing for me. Overall I’m very happy with the product and support.
I have no doubt they work well with the custom handlers, I have heard good things, just wondering what happens when the IDE goes away.
