Spectrum will discontinue home security service

It should be noted that the company says this particular system has not been sold since 2016. And that only a “small number“ of customers are affected by the shut down.

Charter partnered with Amazon’s Ring and Abode to give customers a free equipment bundle if they buy a year of monitoring, but those deals may not be enough to compensate customers who purchased a lot of devices from Charter over the years. Charter is not providing refunds.

But I still think it’s the wrong way to handle it, particularly for a security system, and particularly with only 30 days notice. :rage:
