Sonos Speakers in Smartthings

Can someone tell me what are the possibilities when you integrate Sonos speakers in the Smartthings app. When you click on the speaker then what can you do? Is it more than volume? Can you choose music, playlists, Spotify?

You can see the following controls:

play favourites:

and access the following triggers:

and actions:

in routines.

The speakers can also be used to make announcements in routines:

Thank you for this great answer.
Under ‘Play a Favourite’, are there also Playlists?

No… well yes if the playlist is a favourite too but as a straight playlist, no.

Also, requesting a favourite in a routine is done by supplying the number of the favourite and not it’s name. The number is visible in the advanced web app and/or via the cli though so not a real issue :+1:

So this one I would see?

I would expect so, although my playlists are limited to my local library so I cannot vouch for your specific example…

I have a SSung S23+. I can access your 1st and 2nd screen, but I do not see how to access the 3rd or 4th screens. How did you access them?

They are the triggers/actions for routine creation, follow the add routine process from the device Routines tab :+1:

Got it. Thank you.

The number is visible in the advanced web app and/or via the cli though so not a real issue

Where do I find the Advanced Web App?

I think he talks about the SONOS Advanced Web App

Nope, ST advanced web app under any Sonos speaker. It is the mediaPresets attribute/capability value:

A JSON string listing all favourites:

[
{
"id":"165",
"imageUrl":"https://sounds.files.bbci.co.uk/2.3.0/networks/bbc_6music/colour_450x450.png",
"mediaSource":"BBC Sounds",
"name":"Radio 6 Music"
},
...
]

The “id” being the value you want in the routine action:

Ok, this time I got it.
Thnkx a lot…
