I’m in Canada and the Canadian site is backordered. I get theses emails all the time and it seems foscam cycles through their models on sale. Just means I gotta wait though. Will need to find other devices to keep my HA addiction at bay haha
I am in Canada too, the white camera was available, black one was on back order.
Let me know if you come across other good deals.
Will do… 123456789
Was thinking about this as I was looking at the dashboard last night.
Is there a way to pull through the icons from SmartThings into the dashboard? Garage door icons, ceiling fans, etc. Thanks
Anybody have the HD models of FOSCAMs working in the new dashboard. I had them working in the old one(Dash 4) with I believe this format.
http://DDNS name:PORT/cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=XXXX&pwd=XXXX .
I’ve tried this and I’m back to getting greyed out picture holders for my new cams.
My non HD FOSCAMs seem to work fine with http://DDNS name:PORT/videostream.cgi?&user=XXXX&pwd=XXXX .
just got mine working yesterday using the following from Foscam support: step one is to change the stream to mjpeg and the second line is what i entered in ActiON Dashboard 5. Note, in my use case I used internal (non-routed) 192.168.0.x address, so it works in-house
-
http://IP:Port/cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?usr=ADMIN&pwd=PASSWORD&cmd=setSubStreamFormat&format=1
-
http://ip address:port/cgi-bin/CGIStream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=ADMIN&pwd=PASSWORD
Obviously, change the admin/password to your own, and for line 2 may consider using a non-admin user instead…
In version 5, I didn’t change anythings as far as video streaming is concerned. Check your params.
Hi @625alex, et al…
I am trying to get my home Video DVR (NightOwl http://nightowlsp.com/bj-881-624a.html ) integrated into your awesome dashboard. I was wondering if anybody has been able to get this integrated?
I am not sure if all the functions (playback, etc) would be able to work via this dash, but my first goal would be to get the video displayed on the dash.
any suggestions or help would be great.
Thanks,
Sean
Hi,
I’m trying to setup TVIP110 w camera using the url you mentioned and its not working. Is it still working for you.
Allan
Looks like that is an older camera. I looked in the user manual for that model and found this:
Direct Video Stream Authentication:
- Enabled = Direct link to the video stream prompts for authentication.
- Disable = Direct link to video does not prompt for authentication for
ease of use when implementing or embedding the video stream into a
custom application or webpage.
Examples of the Direct Link to video:
MJPEG Mode
http://camera_ip_address:port number/jpgview.htm
maybe that’s what you need.
If I have a Foscam setup thru Blue Iris and made it externally accessible but it requires authentication. I can goto: http://MYIP:81/mjpg/FrontDoor/video.mjpeg, login and see the video.
Is there no way to have this seen in SmartTiles? I would need a way to have the username and password in the URL but I can’t find the correct way to do that.
I know another option is to just port forward the Foscam’s ip and embed the Username and Password in the url but I would prefer to only forward the one (BI) port if possible.
Thanks,
Scott
Anybody setup with D-link cameras. I am unable to get it to work. Not 100% sure how to format the url to include the username and password.
Thanks
This is how mine is formatted. I use Firefox with it but it still prompts for credentials.
http://LOCALIP:PORT/MJPEG.CGI?&user=user&pwd=pass
Anyone have a foscam fi8921w v2 working? My two fi8910 work great.
Any DVR that would work with this?
I had bought a camera from Chinavasion some years ago. It’s a 720p one.
Here is a link to that certain ip camera which is similar to Dericam H502W and CyberNova CN-WIP604MW.
The url I used to make it work on Action Dashboard 5.1.1 is:
http://ip:port/videostream.cgi?cmd=GetMJStream&usr=USERNAME&pwd=PASSWORD
And works flawlessly!
Now I did that also for my Tenvis IPRobot 3 but this path doesn’t work.
Any ideas?
Some info about Tenvis IProbot3:
The camera supports motion jpeg. The problem is that I was using Firefox version 37 which doesn’t support
this mjpeg, neither IE.But chrome does! VLC also has live streaming.
So I setup the url and if I open SmartTiles from Chrome it works flawlessly!
The url template is:
http://ip:port/cgi-bin/hi3510/mjpegstream.cgi?-chn=11&-usr=USERNAME&-pwd=PASSWORD
First of all, thank you @625alex for your hard work. Your dashboard makes the whole SmartHome concept 100x cooler and productive than it already is
I just have one question.
Has anyone tried to connect any IP Cam to the Dashboard while also recording the video on a DVR?
In other words, what kind of setup/products do I need if I want to have IP Cams recording to a DVR while also having the ability to view to the feed(s) on SmartTiles? That’s if it’s possible of course
I have the same cuestión , anyone tried it? Cameras are useless if we cant record them!
i think i found a great and cheap camera, but the bad thing is that it uses rstp the camera is the xiaomi Smart Camera (ants xiaoyi) its REALLY cheap with dropcam specs and local storage
