I am interested in seeing the state i.e. Front Doorbell or Back Doorbell button is pressed. It is more like a momentary switch and yet I can’t select it as such.
A Momentary button / switch isn’t much value to “see” on a Dashboard, because it would revert state faster than you would notice most times (i.e., a momentary doesn’t stay “on” … it goes back to “off” immediately). A momentary switch on a dashboard is meant for pressing not observing.
Motion Sensors have a similar behavior though, but they report “active” for several seconds.
So you really want the Doorbell button to emulate a Sensor of some sort, I think. Ya gotta take that up with the “Capability” folks at SmartThings. I’ve given up on them.
Is the “&t=xxx” still functional? Which dashboard URL/launcher URL should it be appended to?
Only Launcher URLs are supported (http://smarttiles.me/…) and I don’t think t= is passed through, unfortunately.
Thank you.
so starting yesterday my smarttiles are broken. It looks like this

I have not made any changes to it. I have rebooted. I have tried on Firefox/Chrome/Opera/IE/Edge, and all the same on the PC(win10). And the same for all 3 dashboards I have created. Interestingly enough, it works on my iPhone and on the Kiosk Browser I have on the droid on the wall.
So how is the Super Secret Beta program going that nobody know about that started nearly a month ago? Are we waiting for ST to get the stability issues worked out? LOL
Rick
This type of display usually indicates a problem loading CSS files. The CSS (except for custom CSS) is hosted outside of the SmartThings Cloud, so perhaps there’s a weird firewall, cookies, or ad-blocker issue?
On Chrome, enter browser debugging mode by right clicking anywhere an selecting “Inspect” (or try Ctrl-Shift-I). The select the “Console” tab where you will see the details of any error messages the browser is generating, including the inability to load certain resources, like CSS or JS files, etc…

Again I have not made change to my PC or network. I also was able to try on another PC today and same issue.
I am in central Ohio, I am on Time Warner Internet and use Google DNS. I have not had a chance yet to test this away from home, but I will say, it works on my iphone, my iPad, and my Droid tablet, all on my home network. The issues seems to be only on full browswers
It certainly is a good theory, but we have thousands of users and not a single other report of this problem.
That doesn’t mean no one else is experiencing it, but… Well… Consider the odds?
We don’t manage the SSL certificates on Firebase for SmartTiles v5, but there are some settings we can adjust, yet until there is another case, I’d be more likely to break something than fix it.
Send me an email to Support@SmartTiles.click and there’s a couple more diagnostics we may be able to suggest.
Here’s a page that has specific recommendations for diagnosing the “Secure Connection Failed” error when it is occurring it unexpected places…
Megan, could you check that your PC/device clock is accurate? A date/clock that is not “current” may throw off a secure connection.
I did check my clock and region settings and all is well. One of the first things i did when I saw SSL.
Yes, I get what you are saying, that I am the only one reporting this. I tested my side using https://www.howsmyssl.com/
Interestingly enough was able to get on my wife’s PC (Win10) and hers worked fine. But both of my Win10 machines fails on 4 to 5 browsers. I will try my work PC tomorrow, Interestingly enough it works on my Pi, iPad, IPhone and droid tablet
BINGO!!!
So I had tried turning off ESET, and it failed, but off this link you posted I went in and turned off the SSL Scanning and it fixed. Hmmmm ESETs DAT file must be messed up.
Did something change overnight?
My previously black background on the Onyx theme is now grey and all my custom CSS disappeared…
no we just time traveled to a time before we customized smarttiles
