Somewhere around here was a list of compatible Samsung cameras but I’m unable to find it. Anyone know where that’s at?

As an new adopter to ST and an excited person waiting on the 2.0 hub, in preparation can anyone recommend some decent brands/models for the following:

-open/close sensors (inside and outside)
-temperature sensor
-siren
-camera
-light switches
-water sensor
-sharks with lasers (ok re watched Austin powers last night)

Reading the various comments from previous - everyone seems to have differing experiences and would be interested to see what y’all recommend.

I have a cuestión regarding the dlink camera support, can i have camera setup in the dlink app and the smart things app at the same time? Can I connect the cameras go another device like an nvr and keep all the functionality?

What @Ben said yesterday that SmartThings shop pre-orders should have shipped yesterday, or today, Amazon Pre-orders likely shipping next week. Regular SmartThings Shop orders yesterday should ship in 5-7 days (that’s business days, I’m sure)

I am not sure how D-Link manages this on their end so I cannot speak to this. But I would assume D-Link allows their cameras to connect to NVRs.

Exciting times ahead! I love gadget discussions. And there are many different devices that work with smartthings. Different ones will fit different use cases, so there’s rarely one right answer just for a whole device class. Fortunately, people are really good about sharing their opinions and experiences.

Because the forums become archives which can be very useful later, it helps if we keep each discussion thread to just one topic. :sunglasses:

So the best thing for questions like yours, is to go to the devices category and just search around for a while and see what’s there.

Then if you don’t find enough of an answer, feel free to start your own topic, but limit each topic to just one device class. Like one for sirens, one for cameras etc. That helps us keep the whole thing manageable.

Well since I don’t have any alerts of a pending shipment from FedEx or UPS then it isn’t shipped yet :smile:
or they used USPS. Which I’m hoping they don’t ship using the US Postal Service.

My experience with ST store has been with UPS. Download their app and keep hitting refresh! :wink:

I think we need a new thread started so people can bitch about Amazon shipping, v2 migrations, pre-orders, or anything else. They are really bogging down threads and their original purpose.
