[image] kris: If you have a local running SmartApp you should be fine even with a platform outage. What does it take to get a SmartApp approved for local use? Does it have to be something that gets published for everyone, or can we submit our own personal apps for review?

Does this mean the launch will delayed today?

Right now our process is to test the SmartApps and verify that it plays nicely with the hardware on the hub. We’re not yet publishing guidelines for when we’d allow a Community developed Device Type or SmartApp to run locally. The first version of this should allow developers to push their own code…

Thanks Jim, I’m not sure how hard it is for Android but for iOS it very easy to add universal device support to an app in development. Is this just an update to the interface or re-skin of sorts of the existing app? To me that’s the only reason that makes sense for lack of tablet support
