Smartthings Classic App suddenly buggy with ADT home security (April 2019)

Having issues with getting a status on my Classic App on my iphone (6s and 5). Get error message, “Unable to load Home Security, please try loading it again” “Reload”. It will reload automatically and sometimes will load or will just give me the same error message. What’s going on with ADT SmartThings hub, ST app, or otherwise?

I noticed the same issue about an hour ago. It’s 3:18 P.M. CST on April 4 2019.

I just got off the phone with Samsung / SmartThings support… It would appear that the devs were trying to deploy a patch to production and killed it…

I guess that is a problem when your product is global, depends on the cloud for interactivity with mobile devices, and is constantly being updated, features added…

Per their recommendation, clear your app cache and retry the app. I had to wear out my thumb hitting retry to get it to come up, but it is up on both the new app and ST classic now…

Glad you got yours working again!

Nah, Undocumented features!

Seriously, it looks like they are developing / alpha / beta testing in production…

Nothing new – this has been going on for well over a year. I reported this issue to SmartThings support on 3/19/2018.

What works 100% for me is to force-quit and re-open the application. Not exactly the fastest though if you need to disarm the hub…

What however seems to have changed since last Saturday (Mar 30) is that none of the events from the ADT branded devices (door and motion sensors) show up in the “Recents” tab of the app any longer. I opened a ticket two days ago and have yet to hear back :grimacing:
