I have a samsung galaxy s21 and just purchased some smart tag 2’s to work with it. I’ve connected but the find nearby feature does not display an arrow only weak and strong and doesn’t appear to be very accurate
Your smartphone (S21) doesn’t have ultra-wideband (USB), which is needed for the compass view.
