We are now 100% forced to use the new app and I hate it.

Where did routines go?
I had devices with two switches to control a light and fan and the device can now only control the light…
on dashboard click on + (plus) in the upper right of the screen and select Smartapp. From there add STHM (depending on your region)
Routines have been replaced by Automations and Scenes. click on the same + to create them
or click menu > Automations and click + there
brand/model of the switch? perhaps smart lighting will work

Thank you. I assume routines didnt automatically port over to automations so i have to redo them?
If you used the migration utility by clicking on the migration banner in the classic app then most routines should have been re-created as some combination of scenes and automations. If you didn’t use the migration utility then you will have to re-create them yourself.
