Set presence with motion?

Hi all,

Do any of you know how I can set my presence to x if no motion is detected within y amount of time? I dont want to use a presence sensor but want to set a one way presence as a fail safe using motion.

You will have to be using the SmartThings classic mobile app, not “smartthings (Samsung connect).”

Then You can use a virtual presence sensor which can also act as a switch. Then you just turn that switch on or off as you like based on other things happening.

You’ll be able to turn the switch on and off just using the official smartlights feature if you want.

I’m sure there’s also a fancier way to do it with webcore, but this way will work.
