Thank you for Rule machine. It’s changed how I use SmartThings for the better.

I was looking on this thread to see if you take donations and I saw that you’ve said you would rather people ‘be nice’ and donate to charity… so I made a $65 donation to EFF.

Thanks so much for this app and the effort you put into it. Great work. My SmartThings experience is so much better now because if it… In ways that I hadn’t even thought about before using RuleMachine.

EDIT: I’ll also try to be more nice.

Don’t do anything for now. Some of mine came back. The ones that didn’t come back still work. So there’s hope. This could be a database error that may get sorted out.

I still have my V1 location (since it can’t be deleted), and all of its rules are intact. So I’m covered about 90% with things I can go look at. Unless, oooooh, maybe its been trashed too…

A bit of advice, learned the hard way:
While the current system issues are ongoing, resist the urge to do programming changes (and I don’t mean just in Rule Machine). You’ll likely regret it if you do, as the end result is usually missing or mangled code.

Although I don’t place much stock in the status page, I’ve never seen an issue declared fixed where remedial work was still ongoing.

Well that might be a reason I cannot create a condition based on temperature, I’m pretty new to smart things and rule machine, but finding rule machine is what really sold me on SmartThings.
