I’ve got it set so that when a window opens it turns lights on.
Its set to trigger when ‘Something opens’. In here the window sensors are selected when they open. This all works correct.
In the advanced options ‘Don’t automatically do this if I am in one of these modes’ is set to ‘home’.
When the system us in home mode it still triggers. I can see I am in home mode correct too, so it seems this is being ignored?
Does this make sense?

I see. Try setting it up as a smart lighting rule instead.
Sorry to ask the obvious, but is it definitely this routine turning the lights on, and not some other automation that you’d previously experimented with and haven’t disabled? And when you say the routine triggers, you do mean triggers by the window sensors as it would ignore the mode if just run manually?
There have been many reports of this sort of thing before but generally en masse.
It is certainly worth trying the Smart Lighting smartapp as an alternative, though I believe that handles the logic as the mode (modes?) it runs in, rather than those it doesnt.
