Hi @Anseld1986 , I have read Rocki support DLNA , could you try the Media Renderer Type to confirm Rocki works with SmartThings, I would appreciate it RELEASE Generic Media Renderer (DLNA Speakers). Cheap Sonos Alternative (Update V2)
IS ROCKI COMPATIBLE WITH OTHER MUSIC APPS?
Yes! ROCKI uses UPNP and DLNA open standards to stream music and many other apps are compatible with this. In the Google Play store you can find Bubble UPNP which works great with ROCKI and adds a few features such as NAS playback and Google Music. http://www.myrocki.com/faq/
i too want to know if it works i have 5 rockis but no hub
Sadly, I have no hub right now, or I would gladly test it out =(
As soon as I get this rectified, Iāll let you knowā¦

Rocki is confirmed by @rog is working with SmartThings
This Smart App and device type allows you to use any DLNA Media Renderer to receive Sonos-like sound and voice notifications from SmartThings.
You must to install the MediaRenderer_Connect to find any Generic Media Renderer (Network Speaker)
The MediaRender Player is the device type needed to control each Media Renderer.
If you dont have a Media Renderer like Smart TV or Network Speaker with DLNA you can test it with Foobar2000 program installing de upnp commponent. The commponent allows you to convert the player in a Media Renderer (Verify your firewall do not block the foobar2000 port )
I have tried some Media Renderers, but is better if you give me a feedback of the models that works for you.
Tip : Please, just install one time the MediaRenderer Connect from the phone, If you haveā¦

I think the cheapest way to SOUND to SmartThings could be this
Lario HD Airplay DLNA 30 pin adapter.
Convert your old dock speaker in DLNA and Airplay
It have DLNA and would works with Generic Media Renderer
Now $14.99 in amazon
HI @Phil_AbiNajm , Great news, we like you share yor experience, Sonos is a great system, and it has more features than just to work with SmartThings, if you goal is to play messages in ST, then WeSare or any other DLNA speaker is the best.

Hey everyone, I may have found a solution:
check it out. use teamspeak or mumble or ventrilo, but you donāt need a high setup for a reliable wifi audio system. grab some random smart devices that can access the wifi network and install teamspeak (or whatever), and just aux them into a speaker you get off someone and BOOM, there you go. A cheap, but very effective alternative to buying a sonos speaker system.
