Good morning - this is my first post, so go easy on me!
I have SmartThings at home, and I love it! I like having everything in one place (albeit cannot see how to get my upstairs LG TVs recognised - I suppose understandable, given this is a Samsung place!
Anyway, to the point. I recently upgraded 4 of my 7 Ring cameras to the better resolution 2K Indoor Came Plus. The older 1080p ones were recognised no problem, but having taken them off the schema and added the newer ones, they don’t show up in SmartThings.
Has anyone else experienced this and/or anyone know why this might be? They show up in Alexa just fine and are on the same 2.4GHz SSID as the older cameras were.
So, I have 2 x Ring Outdoor cams, and a Ring Doorbell. All of those work fine on ST, hence I don’t understand why the newer indoor one doesn’t pick up.
Hi Andrew, I am not really looking for recommendations - I have already bought and installed 4 x new ring cameras per the link I sent. I am looking for anyone that has found a fix. Thanks anyway
I cannot find the SKUs on either the Ring site, or Amazon.
The indoor camera that works is this one: Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen): Indoor Camera – Ring
Hi Andrew - I am not sure you are understanding me. The 2nd gen camera is the one I used to have and that, as you point out, is listed and works. The one I have replaced them with is the newest gen Indoor Camera Plus (2K) - which is NOT listed. My question is therefore has anyone found a way to connect this new camera and if not, does anyone know how to get Ring to build the integration(s)?
The camera you want to integrate to SmartThings is not supported, you should contact the Ring CEO Mr Jamie Siminoff j@ring.com and ask him to get it working.
