Retiring Apps - Source Code Location?

I got the email about the retiring smart apps, I was just wondering where the code for these is? It says that most of the code is available, can someone give me a location?

I’m curious about the reason why to retire these apps? Is there a benefit to us or just reducing the # of apps that ST has to test and support?

I don’t think i’ll get many of the advantages of the newer apps because i’m still using my V1 hub?
