Remotec ZXT-600 device handler and instruction for V3

anyone need new ZXT-600 device handler and instruction for ST V3 can go to Remotec website or contact Remotec support. there has been an instuction on how to connect it correctly

Which website?

The one on the manufacturer site at

https://www.remotec.com.hk/zxt600

Appears to be for the now discontinued Classic app, not the current V3 app, although I’m just judging by the pictures.

Hey Robert,

I have attached the instruction for your ref. fairly different implementation than old ST. a bit long for the instruction and may require you to program/change ID base your SmartThings ID.

Any question you can contact us would be happy to assist.

(Attachment SmartThingsDTHforHueV3_V0.2.pdf is missing)

PDF cannot be uploaded, send me by your private email, or later a bit you can download from website https://www.remotec.com.hk/zxt600

This DTH also supports the basic features for ZXT-600 with the new app. The first post details the list of supported features.

Hi, Vincent. it seems the instruction in remotec website is still for the old app.
possible to share the document? I send you a private message for my email address.

thanks a lot and stay safe!

Does the DTH obtained from clicking the “Smart Things Groovy Script (.zip) for Hue V3” at this link not work?
https://www.remotec.com.hk/zxt600

The PDF file in that zip references the new app and seems pretty recent (dated June 2021).

it shall be working. we created this and test many times.

just FYI, SmartThings system is under transformation period for supporting groovy and new device driver method, the groovy method will be EOL at an uncertain time. we have delivered a new to SmartThings and waiting for their approval. once done it will appear on SmartThings App for user to choose.

This isn’t working for me. I believe I have the correct IR Code because it found both the brand and remote control model number.

It partially works in the simulator. For example I can set it to dry mode, change oscillation, and turn it off. But cool mode doesn’t work.

In the app, I can get it to turn the AC off, but not much else. (a) If I set it to cool mode it says “A network or server error occurred. Try again later” (b) I can only set the heating setpoint (irrelevant for an AC), (c) some places show Fahrenheit some Celsius. how do I get everything to be Fahrenheit?, (d) the UI has a small % of the capabilities in the simulator.

Any thoughts on all of this?

Where do we find it now? I cannot get any of the links to work, nor any reference on Remotec website, nor and drivers on SmartThings… @William_Knecht appears to have downloaded something just recently but I can’t find it… The https://www.remotec.com.hk/zxt600 link goes nowhere.

I cannot find it at the link either now. I have the PDF, but it’s not allowing me to upload it.

Remotec sent me a groovy and some implementation notes which I’ve linked in dropbox for you. The driver doesn’t seem to work properly for me as it stands (clicking the “On” button in the UI produces a “network or server error occurred. Try again later.”, and there is no cross reference for the AirCon. Clicking the mode button for auto or off does produce an action but the other options and the Fan Mode options produce the same error message although the device does appear to transmit something, I can’t get it to work my AirCon.

Hi All, New to the forum so excuse my lack of intelligence on this subject! We have a smartthings hub and ZXT-600 but can’t seem to add the code for the device handler to our smarrhings IDE - am I missing something?

If anyone interested Remotec created an Edge Driver for ZXT-600.
I didn’t test it. If someone wants to try. here is the invite:

Interesting. Thanks! Won’t be able to test for quite a while. Curious how it goes for others that try.
