So I installed the new thermostats and they now seem working fine. i’m now having an issue with the Device Handler. The tiles seem to only show the current temperature and not the setpoint temperature. The up and down buttons seem to work and are able to change the setpoint, but I have no way to seeing the setpoint in the smartthings app. Is that a bug in the device handler?

Are you using an iOS device?

We are aware that the device handler in the iOS platform does not show the setpoint.
At this point, it seems like a bug in the SmartThings app since both iOS and Android device handlers share the same code…

I see. Yes, I’m on iOS. Is there a way to adjust the code so it shows the set point? Any idea when/how this bug can be fixed?

Go check on github, I updated a version with a setpoint tile.
However, the iOS platform does not seem to update the device handler.
I contacted SmartThings support to get some help on this.

Hi - I am still using the production unit from Jan again (it’s getting colder now!) and have the fan cycling noise issue. How can I get the replacement units?

Thanks,
Akash

Hi @akashr,

Please contact Stelpro’s customer support in order to get your thermostat replaced.

Thanks! I just sent an email to the customer support.

What is the reason why the Zigbee version documentation says it works with fan heaters and the Z-Wave version does not?

Is there a Z-Wave version coming that also supports fan heaters? I would like to stick with Z-Wave, as everything else in my home is Z-Wave.

Hi @Stephan00,

There is no plan to make the Ki Z-Wave thermostat compatible with a fan-forced heater.

The ZigBee and Z-Wave versions, despite being very similar in their look, don’t have the same components inside.
Technical constraints lead us to decide not to support this feature.

@gouroufui This vendor on Amazon is not doing your products/brand any favors on Amazon. Their pages for your products clearly suck and are cut and paste of the same thing over and over.

Please consider contacting them and proving them accurate data they can use, or better yet start selling them yourself. Or Amazon Brand Registry can help you with this even if you decide not to sell them yourself. https://services.amazon.com/brand-registry.html

Please don’t let these other sellers ruin your brand name by doing this stuff on Amazon. You have a product that is desperately needed by the smarthome community and these guys are making it impossible to buy your products with any confidence.

Bought mine today. Praying I get the model I need!!!

I received the programable model and not the zigbee model, ARRG!!

@darincraven,

For your info, I have transferred the listing on Amazon to our sales department.

I saw that site. Those guys do a great job at describing your products. They should be the brand owners on Amazon if you guys can’t do that for some reason.

Unfortunately I live in the US and the shipping on this whim purchase puts it outside of my price range. I will have to wait for the sellers on Amazon to get their act together I guess.

I work at Amazon Seller Support catalog team so if your marketing teams need any help getting this messed cleaned up feel free to contact me directly and I will see if I can help.

I decided to buy from AARTech and it turns out with the exchange rate it was actually cheaper than Amazon (just a little slower is all) Can’t wait to make my garage heater smart!!

@gouroufui - Thanks, I am getting my replacement thermostat soon. One concern I have is that the Smartthings Device Handler for this thermostat no longer works with Google Home. I am no longer able to switch on/off or set temp for the thermostat. I get a standard response “that mode isn’t available for the thermostat”. This wasn’t an issue early this year. What happened?

When SmartThings makes changes to its platform, they don’t tell us, so it’s hard to keep up.
We are currently looking at some improvements on our device handler.
However, if SmartThings make other changes on their platform, it may break something again.

Feel free to report issues, I will do my best to solve them
