Ok, this has actually gotten me excited.
My guess is 11.04.17
How did you arrive to this date?
What he said^…
Being part of the v5 team I can say this, there is nothing else like it available. Wait until you can see what Alexa can do now!!!
Yeah, what Jason said! You ain’t seen nothin yet!
It looks like new native capabilities have been released with the alexa ios app. Nothing for android yet so I havent gotten to play with it Looking forward to how v5 can enhance these features even more!
What’s New in Version 2.2.323.2
- The updated Alexa App Smart Home section lets users rename, view the state of, and control smart lights, locks and thermostats. Furthermore, by organizing Echo devices into groups, users can control the devices without specifying the device name.
- The new Multi-Room Music section allows users to designate a group for devices on the same Wi-Fi network. Once created, group names can be used to control music playback.
- The new Routines section allows users to automate a series of Smart Home and audio actions with one custom command.
- Bug fixes and performance enhancements.
There have been some updates pushed on Android as well. We don’t have the routines, yet. Where are they showing in the iOS?
Still waiting for the Echo devices to show up on the device list so they can be added to rooms. Has that been released on iOS, yet?
It sounds like in iOS routines are not showing up for everyone immediately. I might have to dust off my old iphone when I get home to try things out if they dont push the Android update soon, I feel left out
I feel like most of that is already showing up in the Android version… except for the Routines which doesn’t seem to be available yet in the Android app.
Show me a screen of the new routines section as described in the release notes. Muahahha… Not there yet
And still missing the Echo Devices to be available in the device list. But I believe they said those will come on Oct 31st … Trick or treat
Fancy stuff happening at Amazon… I think they’ve been spying on the ES team… lol… but we still do it better!
Ya, It’s definitely not there. They usually do it in reverse where it’s visible but not quite active in Alexa. Forward thought - multiple routines being called and executed just like continuation commands:grin:
If I know Amazon, they will just match Google Home’s shortcuts, which means, no compund commands. Here is for the evolution…
And a fresh sneak peek… Cheers!
Like I’ve said… We can do what Amazon can do, except we do it BETTER!
Nice! Looking forward to it.
@WB70 This whole thing is pretty awesome. You know how over the top i go This is over the top dialed to a 100!
I have no doubt that it’s going to have some major bells and whistles. That’s why I made my comment a while ago about them bringing you on. I think they took it as a slight on them, but it wasn’t meant as a negative toward them at all. Everyone is looking forward to seeing what you all bring to the table with 5!
