This has happened to me a couple of times during the past couple of months. If we have a storm and the power flickers or goes out just for a bit, all of the lights come on in which you can easily jump into the app and shut things down and they run like normal. All except the Philips Hue lighting and Bridge. I have the newest Philips Hue Bridge along with 4 bulbs and the strip light. I have the v2 of smartthings hub. If I try to shut the Philips lights off nothing happens, If I shut them off through the Philips Hue app they will shut off but when trying to turn on again through Smartthings, they will not come back on. I have tried to pair the hub again and it says successful, it shows the lights on the Smartthings app but they are just dead when trying to turn on or off through smartthings. I don’t understand why this happens. It has happened at least 3 times so far and the past 2 times I messed with so many things before they started working again, that I cannot even remember what worked.
Has anyone come up with a simply way to do this or is anyone else having a problem like this at all? I am considering getting rid of the Philips completely and just going with the GE light switch toggles as they have been flawless and you can use any type of bulb with them.
This may help you.
