PEQ at Best Buy

Thanks @JDRoberts, I just went to another BB and got my other motion sensor and picked up 2 door/window sensors. $20 is good for just temp alone!
I hope this is the normal price but when they rang up you saw the original price then it change to the sale price. The receipt also shows the sale price. Either way I am happy with what I got

I doubt this is the new normal pricing… They are clearing the shelves for some undisclosed reason.

PEQ costs $9.99/month for their basic cloud service, so they can easily subsidize the price for sensors and such… But if the sensors work with competitors systems (ie SmartThings), then that business model won’t work.

Perhaps the are launching a new set of Devices that will be locked to PEQ hub / cloud.

Or perhaps PEQ shelf space will be replaced with SmartThings – Best Buy carries a lot of Samsung products, so it would not be surprising if SmartThings finally has a brick-and-mortar retail partner.

Both PEQ (Best Buy) and Smartthings are clearing out their current products to make room for Centralight’s new Series 3 devices which are being released soon. The new version of some of the SmartThings devices were previewed at CES in January.

The current Smartthings sale is not a coincidence

Simple, but nice, like most centralite stuff.

The PEQ appliance module I picked up at BB yesterday paired as a Centralite switch btw.

Now I’m going to have to go buy more since the price is so great. I was buying the Quirky Trippers which are $40 for a 2 pack (so $20 each) but the peq’s are $20 also and they show temperature…win win! I had no plans for water sensors but again at $20 and they show temperature. Also these pair as the ST brand sensors so they are technically supported.

And never again will you wake up at 3:00 am worried and wondering about the temperature in the cabinet under your sink!

You have no idea how many times this happens now. So now ST is a sleep aid…lol

Interesting… Does it really track wattage? That would be a plus over the Leviton Z-wave appliance plugs…

Yes, and it reports the wattage nearly instantly as it changes.

Well time to visit the local BB and clean the shel… uh… pick up a few of these. Always hand to see what the might be going on at the outlet.

Are these not on sale online? Or did the prices go up today because it’s a new sale week?

Sale prices are only in store according to earlier comments. Try stopping in the BB.

I think they price match on checkout, if you pickup at the store…

No need to price match…they ring up at these prices but online does not reflect the sale price.

How big is the motion sensor? A typical motion sensor is pretty big IMO.

About 2.6 inches square, around half the size of a deck of playing cards.

You can see mine here:

Roughly 1/2 the size of the Ecolink Sensors…too bad a pitched my boxes so I cannot return to Amazon. Smaller and less $$$

Well that’s the point… The online pricing doesn’t reflect the sale price. When you order online to pickup at the store, the in-store sale price is matched at the counter.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood you
