ObyThing Notify with sound

So I have got Obything working playing music etc but ObyThing Notify with sound is not doing anything - it’ the latest app from Github - about 25 days old. Anyone got any ideas?

I find it is not super reliable myself, but that may be some problem with my iTunes.

Well playing iTunes seem to s work great - just not the notifying sounds…

Are you using the code posted here vs. the sonos smart app?

the Yes…NotifyWithSound.groovy - a month ago.

I can trigger it and it show in the notifications that it;s been activated but nothing happens.

Like I say I can play music directly using obymuisc app within the smarthings app -

But nothing seems to play via iTunes / airplay when triggered - built in sounds / speech / custom urls etc.

Mood music won’t work either - Doesn’t trigger in the simulator or in app. Any ideas?

@obycode - Is it ok to tag you for this?

This is the error I am getting in the live logging.

22:18:22 GMT: error groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method: script1455444887414469185327.playTrack() is applicable for argument types: (java.lang.String, java.lang.String, null, java.lang.Boolean) values: [http://s3.amazonaws.com/smartapp-media/sonos/lightsaber.mp3, …]
Possible solutions: playTrack(java.lang.String), playTrack(java.lang.String, java.lang.Object), playTrack(java.util.Map), nextTrack() @ line 261

Think I have sorted it out. Reinstalled everything and seems to all be working great.

Hi @Prowl. Yes, it’s definitely ok to tag me. I’m happy to help and may not see the issue otherwise. I’m glad you got it sorted out.

@obycode Did these things ever get integrated http://obything.obycode.com/big-update-in-progress/

Also with smartrules is it possible to have set hue colour?

Thanks

No, not yet :disappointed:. It’s been extremely close to being ready for a long time. The new version uses OAuth to improve the setup and communication, so it requires approval from SmartThings. Once we get that approval, it will be mostly ready to go.
