ok. Got the virtual button and it triggers. I’m just testing the colored lights and from white it changing them blue, flashing X times but not changing back to white.
Okay … just curious, what happens if they are on initially (I should leave them in the On state). I’m wondering if maybe the lights don’t get changed back if it’s turned off first? Just a guess. I’ll also look into it more this weekend.
I have only tested them from the ON state. Both starting white and a color.
Updated to latest via github last night. We’ll see how messages go for tonights game.

Took a while get the wifi speaker connected to my wireless network, but works like a champ once I did … there is like a 4-5 second delay before it plays the horn, but I think I can work around that. Curious to hear if other folks with sonos have the same delay issue?
FYI … my wifi issue with the speaker turned out to be the fact I had my wifi access point setup to only accept wireless N&G devices, had to add wireless B devices too.

Okay, I’m just going to have to order myself an early father’s day. Speaker, Light and plug in module to switch light on. Also hook speaker up to Ask Alexa, or Echosistant, and streaming music. Can you say SOLD!!
I shouldn’t have the WiFi issue, I’m still limping along on an old access point. Still works for us, but will need upgraded some day.
If I remember right speaker was recommended by one of the Echosistant developers, he uses that brand. I was hesitant because of reviews on Amazon. Now 2 people have told me it works, so 2 for 2 is like 100%.

Okay, I just committed another release. It’s not huge in function, but I restructured the preference section so that you don’t have to scroll through 4 pages to make changes. I also added additional delays for switches, flashing, and horn so I could sync them better (there is like a 3 second delay playing sound vs switches/lights). Also added a duration option when playing the horn sound.

I’m testing now during the 1:00 game. I’m still using last nights version.
Can that short delay be the downloading of the MP3? I don’t understand the inner workings of it.
It could be … it’s playing the URL directly. Just wondering if it was different then sonos
Just updated and will test with my Sonos.
Added the Bruins since I saw they were playing. Hopefully they can score in the 3rd.
EDIT: Seems my Sonos integration was broken. Had to remove and re-add. Using the Manual Trigger (minimote), I was able to set it to play. The Sonos starts playing the music less than a half second after the lights start flashing for me (have my 2 blooms and 2 hue lightstrips flashing, will likely add my color hue bulbs next).
Caps have a game in a couple hours. I’ll update once we net 4 or 5 tonight!
FYI for today’s game. I did not get any multiple messages. I am not on the latest since I’m at work. I did update last night.
After the first goal of the Caps game, it’s working great with the Sonos and Hue lights!

Quick request/suggestion. Can we get the capability to turn a switch on at game start and off when the game ends? I have a Sabres neon light that I have running off of IFTTT/ESPN and it’s so slow. I’d love to include it with the rest of my notifications! Thanks again for a great app!
Also, I’m seeing the same multi-notification issue again tonight. The Sabres scored and I got the appropriate notification. The Canucks scored and I got that notification, the Sabres first goal again, and the Canucks goal a second time.

Thx @jdstach for the mp3 link — I have the long sirent already… but wondering if anyone has found a free sound file for “He shoots, he scores” I found one site that has it but NOT free, and was not the “original” anyway. If anyone finds this and is inclined to share - I would be grateful.

You can use the GCal smart app and add your team’s calendar over to Google.Then you can have a switch turned on when the game starts and auto turn off at the end of the designated game time.
I do that for baseball, football (pro and college), hockey, and UFC. Works well.
Yes, that should not be difficult to add. I think I could even use that feature as well.
Strange … it seems like the score is getting zero’d out … I’ve got some logic that does that if it thinks the previous score is greater than the current score (old logic when I was polling continually instead of using scheduling) … which should not happen but now that I reset the score on game day that logic doesn’t need to be there. Not sure if this is the issue but might be a cause.
I saw this also tonight. Not the other night but yes tonight. I still appreciate the quick updates / text on scores and such. helps keep up on scores when I’m working and don’t get to watch the game. Like the last 2.
