Ever since I started using SmartThings (on my Nvidia Shield) my router keeps failing (losing internet and WiFi). I’ve tried a different modem and, if I connect directly to the modem, my internet connection is solid. When I introduce my Netgear Orbi router and satellites it can work for a very long time but if I do any SmartThings programming I’m likely to kill my network. Sometimes not even using SmartThings the connection will go away. My network will return sometimes very quickly (less than a minute) while other times it takes 2 or 3 minutes.
I’m having the same issue, but it seems the only people responding are people with the issue. No one from Smartthings or Nvidia are even joining the discussion.
I received the following response back from Nvidia, try this.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
I have been working with the engineering team on this issue and have found out a solution for this issue.
Please see if this works out for you as well.
-> If the device is connected via Ethernet, please disconnect it for testing purpose and connect it to WiFi
-> Go to the WiFi Settings
-> Forget all the Saved WiFi networks in the list there
-> Connect the Ethernet cable now and test if it works fine
-> If the device is indeed using WiFi, please connect to your network after forgetting all the Saved Networks.
Do keep me posted on the status to help you further.
