New to ST here with just a couple devices. One of my first attempts at automation is to setup a light in the garage that comes on whenever the garage door is activated (I’m in a rental house and the automatic light in the garage door opener isn’t functional).
I was thinking about using a multipurpose sensor mounted to the opener motor to detect vibration and set it to turn on a lamp module for 5 minutes.
I can’t seem to find a way to do this with a routine or the available smart apps. Is this something I’d need to write a smart app for?
