New App PIECE OF JUNK!

This is what I got from Support all the way back in March last year, shortly after they announced transitioning users to the new platform/app…

“You will be able to access your SmartApps in the new SmartThings app. Custom commands and attributes, self-published devices, however, are not currently supported. We understand how important these features are to you, and are working to enable those in the new app. For now, you do not need to do anything. Use the SmartThings Classic app as usual. We will let you know when your features are ready to be transitioned to the new SmartThings app”.

Is this to be believed…??

No.

Since March of last year, so I’ll bet there has been so much change of management that even if the individuals intended to deliver everything in that promise, they are no longer accountable for it.

Samsung said I my account had been migrated to the new app and I needed to download it. Next it said the app won’t run on my phones (2 each Samsung Note 4 or my 2x Galaxy Tab 12.2) so $500 later I have a new phone with the new app only to discover it isn’t even a Bata version, it’s more like Alpha.
I use the geofence to control water flow in my home but none of that works anymore and my phone refuses to allow me to turn on the get my location from this phone. It simply says “waiting” followed by “Try again later” but later never happens either.
This whole system is crap. They took a system that worked fairly well and totally screwed it up. I have Yale locks and need to know who unlocked them but they no longer bother to put the lock code number up. They told me I could go on the development app to find out that information.
Why release unproven and obviously untested software and force people to move to it?

Just switched to the New app. None of the presence stuff works. It sees me leave but not come home.
Great my door lock is worthless.
Everything lags when selected. Stuff that was instantaneous now takes 5-10 seconds.
Close to switching platforms.
