New Aeotec Hub V2

Hi, I’d like to upgrade to the new Aeotec V2 hub unfortunately, it does not have ZWAVE capability. I have 8 Ecolink window sensors (Zwave) using the wired dry contact. I don’t see this type of sensor in Zigbee.
Can I run two Smartthings hubs at same location? The New Aeotec V2 & Smartthings V3. If possible I’d like to migrate all the devices to the new hub except for the 8 Zwave devices.

I did look at Sonoff window sensors but this requires soldering wires to the dry contacts as they don’t have screw terminals like the Ecolink sensors.

Short answer, because it’s late here: yes.

You can add multiple hubs to one location, no issues there.

There is an ability to wholesale migrate all devices to a new hub but I’m not sure what it would do with the devices that are unsupported on the target hub.

The only other way to move devices is one-by-one delete the devices on the old hub and add them as new to the new hub. Then, of course, recreate all affected automations.

if the old hub has z-wave (with z-wave devices) and the target hub does not have z-wave, the migration tool will do nothing. The utility would not be able to move partial devices since the tool needs to wipe out the old hub upon completion of migrating all devices.

Thanks! I’ve never done it… yet.

All my devices are on a V2/2015 hub. I purchased an Aeotec (V3/2018) hub and have it online with no devices. Since my V2 hasn’t had any issues I’m standing pat for now.

Everything I learn about migrating is helpful.
