What about Homeboy and Canary? I have Arlo, Homeboy, Canary, and a Hikvision camera.
Just another post to say I’d love to see some integration with Smartthings. I have over $600 invested into Arlo, and have no intention of buying another camera system. I actually tweeted to Netgear and Alex Hawkinson to pose this possible integration, and he said that it would require both companies working together. I would suggest giving him (@ahawkinson) and Netgear (@arlosmarthome) a tweet with this desire and hopefully we can gain some movement on pairing these excellent solutions together. Netgear has remained mostly silent on this front, saying to suggest it, or rather upvote the existing suggestion, on their forums.
There is hope that maybe by end of 2016, we will have Arlo integrated. Comcast announced integration with Arlo early 2016, so I hope we will see more partnerships soon. Unless there is some contractual exclusivity between ST and D-link…
My god, a full year to get ST support. Others will come in by then and Arlo will lose out on the opportunities.
Posted this in another thread but maybe someone reading this here can run with it. This will control an Arlo based on your mode.
SmartThings mentioned 1 year ago at CES that they would support Netgear cameras. Still waiting…

I too would love to see arlo and smartthings working together. Arlo is great, as is smartthings, so it would be a great marriage. My other option is to do the samsung cam stuff, but they are indoor only and wired. I need wireless out there.

I’m able to install it without any problems.
I’m seeing the logs, in graph api, showing the sucessful login to arlo and the mode change.
However, in Arlo, the mode does not appear to change at all. Any ideas?
What is the value you have for “mode” ?
I’ve tried armed, Armed, disarmed, Disarmed & a custom one called case1
In ST, I’ve used the mode away & home as well.

The Arlo API uses unique identifiers for each of your modes, not the name. I created a post under the Community Created Apps forum regarding how to locate the identifiers. Please find that post as it contains information on how to get these.
@JoeBee - funny. I knew it was something dumb on my part. I looked at the URL and found they are just called “mode1”… “modex”. Thanks for the supported app and the responses.

I returned my Arlo cams on Monday. I bought some DLINK cams and they work well so far (2 days).
They are wired and outdoor and have pretty good quality. The Arlo cams seem to have had better quality though. But they just did not work most of the time and I could not get reliable remote access to them. So wired is great for me.

ST has been promising all sorts of integrations but none of them have happened. Too busy trying to get new customers to add to an infrastructure that currently cannot support its existing customers. Too busy integrating Samsung shit hardly anyone here has and too busy buying trailers to take to conferences so show off a system that doesn’t work as promised. Don’t hold your breathe on Arlo or any other integrations. Hell, Philips Hue, Sonos, Wemo are all still in labs when other competitors are getting fully integrated (LifX, Bose, etc.) what is that about. I’d love to know what ST is thinking, doing, planning, etc. It might be good for a laugh.

So excited to find this!!! I will definitely have to give it a try. I have 4 Arlo cameras and have been dying for ST integration.
There’s an official Arlo IFTTT channel now, so you can sort of connect Smart Things with Arlo now, although functionality is limited.
