Need help with new Fibaro motion sensor device handler

This may be really basic/obvious but here goes: I just got Cyril Pepponet’s device handler for the Fibaro motion sensor and now I am wondering how to get it working on my already-installed Fibaro motion sensor - preferably without having to exclude/reinstall the motion sensor?

Can the sensor be “rebooted” without affecting its pairing with the Smart Hub?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. - Rob

Certainly outside my current knowledge level but i wonder if once you have installed the handler if you could simply edit the device type in the IDE.
